Our Panel Upgrade Process: A Step-by-Step Guide

We manage every detail from start to finish to ensure a safe, compliant, and stress-free experience for you.

An electrical panel upgrade is a complex project that requires careful coordination between you, your electrical contractor, the local utility company, and the city or county building department. Our professional process is designed to handle all of these moving parts seamlessly.

1

Consultation & Load Calculation

The process begins when our licensed electrician visits your home to assess your current system. We'll discuss your current and future power needs (like an EV charger or new AC) and perform a detailed electrical load calculation to determine the correct panel size for your home.

2

Transparent Proposal & Scheduling

You will receive a detailed, upfront proposal with no hidden fees. It will clearly outline the scope of work and the total investment. For more details on pricing, see our Las Vegas cost guide. Once you approve, we'll schedule a convenient day for the installation.

3

Permitting & NV Energy Coordination

We handle 100% of the paperwork. We file for the necessary electrical permit with Clark County or your local municipality and coordinate with NV Energy for the scheduled power disconnection and reconnection on the day of the job.

4

The Day of Installation

Our team arrives on time to perform the full panel replacement. Your power will be out for approximately 4 to 8 hours. We work cleanly and efficiently to remove the old panel, install the new one, connect all circuits, and ensure your home's grounding system is brought up to current code.

5

Final Inspection & Power Restoration

We coordinate with the city or county inspector to review the completed work. Once the inspection is passed, NV Energy is cleared to restore power to your home. We then do a final walkthrough with you, labeling your new panel and ensuring you are 100% satisfied.
